The color is dark garnet and the nose is absolutely fantastic. Smells like cherry, leather, milk chocolate, and freshly cut flowers. Fresh, fruity, and rustic on the palate, with great length and a nice finish with loads of dry extract, balance and a level of finesse seldom found in Sonoma Coast wines. Great wine that will last for many years. Does not resemble the KB version from the same vineyard at all.
