Light garnet red color. Aromatically, it doesn't offer up much, but the most obvious smells are dried herbs, pine sap, and a hint of kirsch liqueur. On the palate, the wine has a fair presence with a very good finish. Keeps leaning toward the pine sap and has a salty quality. Very good wine, certainly for the $27 at release, but not outstanding IMO. Maybe time will change this, but I just don't see the stuffing and complexity to call this outstanding.
