N.V. Marguet Pere et Fils Champagne Cuvée Réserve Brut (France, Champagne, Ambonnay, Champagne)

Very light and bright color. Nose is somewhat mute but shows a little apple peel. On the palate, the wine seems toasty and nutty with significant minerality. Pretty good, especially when the price is being considered, but not one of my recent favorites. When I first opened this, the fruit seemed too sweet for my taste. I seem to like BdBs better than the Pinot dominated Champagnes and I also seem to lean towards extra dry, no dosage styles of Champagne.
