• 2006 Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (5/20/2009)
  This is a delicious glass of wine. Dark raspberry, plum, and hoisin sauce with generous garrigue and dried herbes de provence. Good freshness and solid on the finish. The shortcoming of this wine is that it lacks depth and multiple layers of fruit and seems just a bit simple compared to the much better 2005, 2001, 2000, and 1998. Overall. Still a good buy, but not at the same level as the vintages mentioned prior.
