- 2004 Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gain Vieilles Vignes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru (6/8/2009)
Slightly smokey reductive nose. Gardenia, cotton flower, and mirabelles. Wet rock, apricot, apple, mirabelle, and a hint of melon. Very dry and long finish with a slightly saline feel to it. Needed some time in the glass to unfurl. I would give it 30 minutes to 1 hour decant next time around. Great wine with a number of different cheeses tonight.
