Dark garnet red color. Aromas of tar, black currants, chocolate, licorice, blood, pepper, and white flower blossoms. Lots going on. On the palate, the wine is a little more one-dimensional than it is aromatically, and the flavors present are black fruit, blackberry, cassis, tree bark, and autumnal notes mixed with a hint of vanilla. Creamy texture with good acidity. Blockbuster finish. One of the best California Syrahs I have had up to now. Spectacular.
