2005 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba (Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Nebbiolo d'Alba)

Very nice wine, as well. Very Barbaresco-like color and nose. Lacks the layers and complexity a Barbareso or Barolo would display, but this is a very feminine expression of Nebbiolo that is definitely approachable and has an earth, mushroom, autumnal, and berry flavor profile that I like a lot. This can surely be cellared for at least 5-10 years and I would recommend staying away from this for at least 3 years, if not 5. Very good QPR. As with most Piedmont and other Italian wines, this is a food companion.
