This is really a very nice QPR wine. Starts off a little shy right out of the bottle, but gets plush and silky with some air. Nice fruit, but still earthy and funky. At the $11.99 I bought it for, it was not only a ridiculously good price for this wine, but the wine performed superbly with home-made Tuscan pizza. If you like the style of Brunello, this is a great every-day alternative at a much lower price-tag (although the cepage is obviously different in this wine compared to Brunello). Even Antonio Galloni liked it.
