2006 Nigl Grüner Veltliner Kremser Freiheit (Austria, Niederösterreich, Kremstal)

This is exactly what I've been looking for. Liquid rocks. Nearly white hue in the glass. Nose is tight and barely shows a little fresh cut grass and apple. Really nice and dry on the palate with racy acidity. It's like biting into a green Granny Smith apple. Very refreshing. More fresh cut grass and grapefruit on the finish. Consumed with a variety of French cheeses and a great match for all them. The acidity of the wine cut through the fattiness of the cheese like a warm knife through butter. Great summer quaffer. Will buy more.
