This is one of the best Barberas I've ever had. It does show the typical baking soda and cherry on the nose and palate, but it's so interesting and multi-faceted on the palate with layers of fruit, tobacco, leather, earth, and did I mention the laser focused plum and black cherry fruit? Just an amazing wine, especially considering it's low price. Given that a 2004 I had recently was seemingly over the hill, I won't advocate holding this one. It's delicious right now and ready to please. Time to pop these with some pasta, pizza, or in our case tonight, roast chicken.
