A serviceable bottle that did well with dinner (canary melon with prosciutto and halibut with peach salsa and cannelini bean salad). That said, it wasn't great or fun or exciting. Seemed a little flat and simple relative to other bottles I've had before. Mousse was slow and with large bubbles. Lacked finesse and sophistication. Maybe getting a little long in the tooth? My wife's comment was "this isn't my favorite bottle of Champagne". I find Pierre Peters in the same price class consistently delivers better Champagne for my palate. Would not buy again based on this bottle.
