I consumed this over the course of two nights. On night one, it started out completely shut down. It took 3-4 hours before the flavors and nose began to emerge. Last night (on night 2), this drank beautifully. Restrained, elegant, finessed. Lovely blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with great minerality and freshness along with some truffle and earth notes. This wine is an excellent buy and it will reward patience in the cellar. Went great with two dinners that were diametrically opposed in terms of style. Very food friendly wine that goes with a wide range of dishes. Every now and then, I need a reminder of why I like Bordeaux so much, and this wine did exactly that for me. 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc.
