Translucent garnet red color. Smells like marzipane, flowers, tar, licorice, and blackberry. Great on the palate with plum, rose petal, and earthiness. Lovely finish and silky texture with superb, food-complimenting acidity. Was consumed with roasted/braised beef short ribs with onions in demi-glace.
