Solid dark garnet color with smells of tar and charcoal as well as dark berries. Nice fruit on the palate and still ample tannins that need to be resolved. Not nearly as focused in fruit as the Sottimano Barbaresco Fausoni, but instead a lot more "traditional" and rustic. Finished extremely long. Solid wine with many years of aging ahead of it.
