This one will need a multi-day tasting note...tonight, as I popped and poured this wine, it is very barnyardy, bretty and gamey, which I like. The color is a light ruby with slight browning around the edges. This is clearly a very terroir driven wine that does not overwhelm with fruit, but it gives you a nice dose of garrigue, dried herbs and earth. I love this wine and think the fruit will show up more with some air. I consider this an old-school CdP that is lovely drinking for fans of earthy wines. I will report further tomorrow, but this is a great warmup for our trip to Chateauneuf later this week.
