Provence Evening at Maison Pelz

Last night, we had an evening dedicated to the food and wine of Provence. Along with assorted appetizers, we drank different roses, followed by lamb shank provencale and creme brulee. The wines were all stunning, and since I didn't take notes, I don't have notes on all wines.

I do remember a 1995 Chapoutier la Bernardine very well because I loved it. I also remember really liking the 2000 Clos Des Papes and not particularly being in love with a 2003 Soumade La Fleur de Confiance CdR. A bottle of 2003 Chateau Simone didn't show well last night compared with many of the CdP blockbusters we had at bat.

In the posts below, I chronicled the notes for the wines I got to briefly re-taste today when I had a chance to take notes. Thanks go to the participants and contributors of this tasting. The wines were all very good and the company was as always the best part of the evening.
