2005 Luneau-Papin Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Clos des Allees (France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine)

Great wine making achievement. This is drinking even better than the L d'Or right now. Round and finessed with incredible elegance and nimbleness while retaining great acid structure and flavors of cut grass and honey dew melon. Enough weight to stand up nicely to a roast vegetarian fed, air-chilled chicken tonight and likely a winner in anyone's book. At less than $12, this is one of the greatest buys in white wine in the world in my opinion if you like steely, dry whites.
