2007 Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre (France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru)
2007 Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre (France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru)

Another winner in my book. Like its lesser (VV Sainte Claire) and leaner (Mont de Milieu) siblings, this wine is made from the same cloth. Stony minerality, an almost saline component, lemon/citrus and amazing freshness. Unlike the Sainte Claire and Mont de Milieu, the Montee de Tonnerre is a little richer and rounder and pairs better and more harmoniously with delicate fish (like fresh Cod). Fantastic structure, balance, and finesse. Lovely wine. Recommended.
