A stunner of a CdP. I don't know if mine was just an exceptionally good bottle or if this is stylistically in my sweet spot, but it's the essence of kirsch with cedar, spicebox, and amazing aromas of balsamico, and chinese hoisin / plum sauce. On the palate, it is like biting into ripe plum and bing cherry mixed with garrigue, earth, and tons of stuffing. Soft, velvety texture on a structured frame with a finish that goes on and on. By far the best 2003 Cdp I've tasted to this point. For me, this is profound.
