This showed surprisingly well in the company of some heavy hitters. Dark plum and blackberry fruit with leather, a hint of earth, and solid acidity and a boatload of tannins. As nicely as this was drinking last night, I believe this wine will need a good 3-5 years to get the tannins to soften up. There's ample fruit left, so I would not be concerned to wait out the tannins.
