I just had to try one of these. When I first opened the bottle, I was a bit concerned, as there was some noticeable alcohol emenating from the bottle and glass. But with some air, that dissipated. Clearly a very young Grenache based wine as evidenced by some reductive characteristics. What is in this wine is terrific though. Focused plum, figs, mocha, and dates. No real funk. Very clean wine as a matter of fact...maybe a bit too clean for me, but still very promising. Along with that massive fruit, one gets solid acidity and structure, so I believe this will develop for many years. Very very good.
