Best CdR I've ever had...by a landslide. It's way too acidic and tight on day 1. On day two, after being open for about 24 hours, this has come together nicely. Mini CdP nose of kirsch, grilled herbs, and tar. On the palate, this is clearly not a CdP as it lacks the density of fruit and sweetness of tannins that I usually find in CdP. That said, it's got red fruit, red licorice, leather, and a little bit of brett (in a good way). Shows some stemminess, which I like, so I wonder if there's any whole cluster in this. Finishes well. Should age nicely for at least 5 years. I'm not sure I'd let it ride any longer than that because I'm not convinced there's enough fruit to balance out the tannins and acid.
