
My last bottle of this one, as well. I originally bought it for under $20 and it was a stellar buy at this price. 80% Grenache gives it the typical kirsch, licorice and provencal herbs notes, but there's a bit of Syrah in there to give it some ground pepper notes. The fruit is very much plum and blackberry and very ripe. The 2003 vintage character shows clearly, and it's a good time to drink this base cuvee right now before the fruit fades. I doubt it will get any better,
