Very dark, very brooding. Primary and even primal fruit. Black licorice and tons of stuffing. Slightly reminiscent of an Aussie Grenache in that it has a pain grille and raspberry jam component. Very high octane and it's definitely walking the line with its fruit. Fortunately, the freshness is there and the wine is balanced, but this could turn out to be a beauty or a disaster in 5-10 years. Very difficult wine for me to predict its ageing curve. I suggest you check in to your stash occasionally over the next few years.
