Had this with BBQ ribs tonight and the combination was superb. This wine was generous and held nothing back. Expressive on the nose and palate with lots of kirsch liqueur and dried herbs, along with licorice and a dusting of earth. It's not an overly complex example of CdP, but it drinks incredibly well, especially with the right food.
